The "Clun" Stud was founded in 1995 when four birds were purchased from local fancier Alan Webbern,Old Colwyn. Alan had built up a small consistant team of Fife's,winning Best Novice at most of the premier shows in North Wales. These birds were bred around stock from local fanciers Mawldwyn Williams,Derek & Maureen James and Jack Price. Further introductions have been added over the years from Harry Stanway,Mark & George Anyon, Walter Valentine and Glyn Huws.

Latest introductions used in 2003 have been birds bred by Bruno Verlinden from Belgium, Kevin Giles from Cumbria and Gerald Spencer from Doncaster.

The 2012 breeding season will be based around two birdrooms in North Wales.
